All tooth implants in our office are supervised from beginning to end by British native, Dr. Saj Jivraj, an award-winning dental specialist and international authority on implant dentistry with over 17 years of experience in his field.
Dr. Jivraj has placed thousands of implant restorations and implant-supported dentures. Although he is a specialist in all types of cosmetic and restorative dental work, his focus has been in advancing the subject of Implant Dentistry. To that end Dr. Jivraj has authored over two dozen articles as well as the textbook, "Treatment Planning in Implant Dentistry" for the British Dental Association. He also regularly teaches other dentists in the United States and England, including the graduating dentists at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Jivraj will evaluate your teeth and bone structure to determine the type of treatment that will be best for you. He will design your implant treatment plan, and while Dr. Jivraj is fully qualified to place the implant posts himself, he often partners with a trusted oral surgeon for this portion of the procedure. Then Dr. Jivraj places the replacement tooth on top, sometimes on the same day as the placement of the implant post.

Are you a candidate for dental implants?
As technology progresses, more and more people are candidates for dental implants. As a leader in his field, Dr. Jivraj is at the forefront of these advances and can help you get the treatment you need.
An ideal candidate for a dental implant is someone who is in good general and oral health. You must have enough bone in your jaw to support the implant, and sometimes if a tooth has been missing for a while the bone must first be rebuilt using special bone-grafting surgical procedures.
If your bone structure is adequate and bone-grafting is not required, the permanent dental implant, post and tooth restoration can usually be placed in one visit.
People who wear partial or full dentures can replace these with dental implants, or use implants to stabilize and secure the denture, making them much more comfortable.

Patients must realize that every doctor is licensed to perform any procedure, but most patients would not go to their primary care doctor for heart surgery or even treatment of skin cancer. In this age of marketing and hype patients must be very careful who they seek for complex dental treatment.
