Ellie is the first person to greet when you come in to Anacapa Dental Art Institute. She attended the University of Massachusetts and graduated with a BA in Education and a minor in Spanish. She was previously on staff at St Johns Hospital where she was responsible for patient education with Universal Family Heath Care.
Ellie has had extensive training in general dentistry procedures and insurance reimbursement. Ellie has also worked previously in an Orthodontic office. Ellie is very personal and patient's quality of care is very important to her. Currently she is responsible for patient education and patient relations.
Laura attended a dental assisting course through the regional occupational program where she graduated with her X-ray License in 1988. She interned in an oral surgery office which turned into a full time position. In 1989 Laura received her Oral Surgery Certificate. Laura was on staff at St Johns Hospital where she accompanied the doctors and assisted them with extensive surgery cases.
In 1990 Laura moved to work in an Orthodontic office where she received her Registered Dental Assistants License. Laura was Senior Assistant for 9 of the 12 years in orthodontics. Her responsibilities included co-ordinating treatment for patients as well as fabricating orthodontic appliances.
After leaving orthodontics Laura assisted in a general dental office until 2004 after which she took a couple of years off to spend quality time with her three daughters.
Laura has been at Anacapa Dental Art Institute since 2006 where she is the Senior Clinical Coordinator.
Heather comes to the office with many years of experience. She is very experienced, well-credentialed and has been in dentistry for six years.
She was part of a spectacular hygiene class which ranked second in the nation with regards to national board scores. Heather has also been recognized by the California Dental Hygienists Association for excellent Clinical skills.
Heather is a caring and compassionate person who strives for excellence with her patients and performs her duties in an extremely gentle manner.
Amber attended a dental assisting course through the regional occupational program where she graduated with her x-ray license in June of 2007. She interned At Anacapa Dental Art Institute and is now serving in the capacity clinical co-ordinator.
Amber is currently attending Oxnard City College, and is planning to complete a program in Dental Hygiene.
Amber enjoys going to the beach, listening to music, cooking, playing softball and spending her spare time with her three brothers.
